NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A low-pressure system moving into the region brings a chance for strong storms later Sunday.
Through the morning hours, humidity and warm temperatures continue with a chance for a few showers.
Rain coverage will increase in the afternoon, with a few isolated strong storms possible by the early evening.
Another round of storms will then move through along with the cold front overnight into Monday morning. These storms also have the potential to bring gusty winds, hail and a tornado.
Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts overnight and on the parade routes.
After the cold front moves through Monday morning, temperatures will begin to fall into the 50s, making for cooler and drier days through Mardi Gras.
