With their previous films like Liger and Yashoda, Shaakuntalam tanking at the box office, both Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha are eagerly waiting to see Shiva Nirvana’s “Kushi” weaving magic for them.
And then, the musical concert of the film turned out to be a huge success due to Vijay-Samantha’s awesome dance show, the queen bee’s glamour treat and their hard-hitting speeches. Well, the thing is, are these promotions enough for Kushi to create an impact?
As per reports, the theatrical rights of Kushi are valued at around ₹60 crores which means that the film should earn nearly ₹110 crores ‘gross’ to be called a safe venture. For that to happen, the film needs a terrific opening weekend and first-day collections as well.
While the songs of the film are turning out to be a super hit, both Vijay and Samantha need to promote it quite more to grab and keep the attention of the audience until September 1st. Only with terrific openings comes that terrific weekend collection, which would make the film’s job easy later on in case if it gets unanimous positive word of mouth.
However, Vijay is said to be worrying that excessive promotion of the film might do unwanted damage as happened in the case of “Liger”. At the same time, Samantha cannot indulge in full-pledged promotions at this juncture as her health is not said to be hugely supportive. So the fate of Kushi actually lies in the first-day first show talk, while Abdul Hesham Wahab’s music is acting as the biggest promoter of the film right now.
