BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Gowen Thunder Airshow is this weekend. The world-class aerial display will be an incredible sight and is expected to draw thousands of spectators to the area.
Just some of the featured events include the Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights, U.S. Air Force F35 Lightning II demonstration team.
Boise Police warn that traffic and parking in the area around Orchard and I-84, on S. Cole Rd, along Gowen Rd. and potentially as far out as Broadway and Vista is expected to be heavy.
A detailed map of parking areas and shuttles that will transport you to the viewing area can be found by clicking here. Most of the parking areas are off of Orchard and Gowen Rd. to the west of the Boise Airport. Shuttles are expected to take no more than 20 minutes.
Travelers headed to the Boise Airport or surrounding areas should expect heavy traffic and delays.
